For Coaches

One of the essential functions of coaches and team managers is to manage team communications with players and their families.  If you are a coach or team manager, SportsEngine has created a Team Management Guide for Coaches and Team Managers to help you use our website and mobile app to efficiently and effectively communicate and manage your teams.

Requirements

Courses and Clinics

Paradise Minor Baseball (PMB) will reimburse coaches for all training fees incurred for completing the NCCP online modules or in-class clinics as long as you are actively coaching with PMB during the year the training is taken.

In order to be eligible for reimbursement of any training fees incurred, you must obtain written approval from a Divisional Rep or the All-Star & Coaching Coordinator before registering for a course or clinic.  Simply send an email detailing the training course or clinic you plan to register for or attend and they will note your intention and send you written confirmation in an email reply.   The purpose of obtaining approval is to ensure we are being charged correctly for all fees incurred as a result of our coaches completing training.

After obtaining approval for an online training course, coaches must pay for the course up front and then submit their receipt for reimbursement.

After obtaining approval for in-class clinics, coaches can then proceed to register for the course.  All in-class clinics offered by Baseball NL are billed directly to PMB and no up front cost is required.

Code of Conduct & VulnerablE Sector Check

All coaches, staff, umpires and volunteers with PMB are required to complete and produce a clear RNC Code of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector check every year.  These checks are free of charge for minor sports organizations.  The application form is available on the RNC website at https://www.rnc.gov.nl.ca/services/certificate-of-conduct/

See below for an association letter from the President which is to be submitted along with your application.  The RNC will send the report directly to PMB which will be kept on file.
