We will be hosting a Home Run Derby at Peter Barry Duff Memorial Baseball Field on Thursday, September 7th from 6:30 to 8:30. Food and Refreshments for everyone to follow this exciting event!
- Each team will nominate 2 players to participate in the Home Run Derby.
- Players will provide their own coach to pitch to them. (Pitches will be delivered overhand i.e. BP).
- The derby will consist of 3 rounds:
- Round 1:
- Each player will get 3 minutes to hit as many HRs as possible.
- Each player will get one 30second time out which can be used at any time in their 3 minute period
- The 4 highest HR counts in the round 1 will move on to round 2.
- Round 2:
- The 4 players with the highest HR counts of round 1 will each get 3 minutes to hit as many HRs as possible. The HR count from round 1 does not carry forward.
- Each player will get one 30second time out which can be used at any time in their 3 minute period
- The 2 highest HR counts in the round 1 will move on to Final Round.
- Final Round:
- The 2 player with the highest HR counts of round 2 will each get 3 minutes to hit as many HRs as possible. The HR counts from round 1 or 2 do not carry forward.
- Each player will get one 30second time out which can be used at any time in their 3 minute period.
- The player hitting the most HRs in the final round will be declared the HR Champion!
- The field dimensions are 225' at the foul lines and 250' center field.
