PMB President's Statement for 2019 Season

By Paradise Minor Baseball, 06/22/19, 11:30PM NDT

Read PMB President, Craig Walker's, 2019 season kick-off message.

Welcome back to most and to the new players and parents it’s great to have you be a part of Phantoms Baseball in 2019.

Our program is as strong as it has ever been and again this year we will have teams in T-Ball, Novice, and Rookie for the Junior Divisions, along with Mosquito, Pee Wee, and Bantam in the Senior Divisions. We are thrilled to have a Midget team this year comprised of players 16-18 years of age. There also will be two Rookie Select teams competing this year comprised of second year Rookie aged players.

We will have all-star teams competing at most senior divisions from A to AAA levels. In 2019, we will be entering two Girls 12U teams in the St. John’s girls only “League Of Their Own”, and hosting the Girls 12U Provincials and Bantam A Provincials.

The lights at Peter Barry Duff are being constructed and we hope to have access to the Large Field by mid-July. For the time being all games scheduled for the Large Field have been  moved to Pearlgate Field in Mount Pearl. While the earlier start times for some games isn’t ideal it’s the best we can do. The lack of fields in our community continues to be a huge problem for our association, and we are lucky to have Pearlgate until the lights are completed. Please check the schedule for your team on our website.

I look forward to our best season ever and look forward to seeing you at the fields.
