Hi Everyone,

The 5U & 7U groups will be a little different this year. We have adopted the Baseball Canada Rally Cap program with the goal of creating increased interest in our younger players and developing the FUNdamentals of the game. You can find the equipment requirements at Information > Program Info > Rally Cap.

Our Rally Cap teams have a maximum roster size of 8. This means each player will get more repetitions of learned skills, which will improve development and enjoyment of the game.

Rally Cap sessions will be 75mnutes in length and 3 teams will attend each session. The session will have a warm up (15minutes) and 3 skill or game stations (20minutes each).  Each team will rotate through all of the stations at each session.

At the start of the season, the emphasis will be on specific baseball skills development. Modified baseball games will be added to the sessions as the season progresses.

During the season we will be working on the 5 FUNdamentals of baseball: Throwing, Base Running, Receiving, Hitting & General Baseball Knowledge. At the start of the season, most players will start with the "White" Rally Cap. Towards the end of the season, we will have an "Official Rally Cap Day" where players will have an opportunity to perform different tasks to demonstrate the skills they have learned in order to earn a coloured Baseball Canada Rally Cap.

Rally Cap Report Card

At the conclusion of an Official Rally Cap Day, each player will receive a report card and (hopefully) a new Rally Cap!

There will be two staff at each session to lead the program. We do require parent volunteers and coaches to make this program work. If you have already volunteered, "THANK YOU!". If you have not volunteered, please consider signing up using the Coach/Volunteer registration link on our website.

Wishing everyone a really great season and hoping all our young ball players have a tremendous amount of fun, develop their skills, and develop a love for baseball.
